The Chancellor of the Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB), Herry Suhardiyanto, has proposed that Bidik Misi scholarships be included in recurring state expenditure. In that way, the disbursement of the scholarships would no longer suffer the sort of delays that are currently being experienced in a number of state universities.

Meanwhile, , Yonny Koesmaryono, IPB’s Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, said that as a result of delays in the disbursement of scholarships, IPB was funding the expenses of some 3,000 students at a cost of around Rp 3 billion.
