Muhammad Sudirman (18) has been expelled from school for contracting an unregistered marriage. Now, he is facing the possibility of not being able to sit the National Examinations. The boy, who had plans to become a teacher, said that he was shocked and disappointed when he was told that he was being expelled and would not be allowed to sit the National Examinations at his school. He is now being represented by the National Commission for Child Protection, which is holding discussions with the school. Should the school persist with its refusal to let him sit the National Examinations, he said he would sit the Package C tests.
