UI’s Professor Withdraws from Rector Election

A professor from the Faculty of Law of the University of Indonesia (UI), Hikmahanto Juwana, withdraws as a candidate from the University of Indonesia’s Rector Election. Hikmahanto, who has passed the administrative selection, said that the withdrawal was associated with the long suspended election process. More than six months have passed, but there is no certainty when to resume.

The Secretary of  UI’s Trustees Council, Corina Riantoputra, said that the decision to withdraw from the election was the right of each candidate.
