Online collection of educational data through Education Principal Data is complained by many teachers as it is still problematic, but the information has been used as the basis for payment of teachers’ professional allowance. According to the Indonesian Teachers Association Chairman, Magetan Thoyib, teachers are restless as the online data collection process is not in conformity with the field condition.

The Education Principal Data (Dapodik) is a project for collecting data on educational information regarding schools, teachers and students conducted by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The Dapodik that uses information and communication technology is expected to be a valid database for making policies on education.
