Minister of Education and Culture Mohammad Nuh has acknowledged there are those who do not agree with the 2013 curriculum. He also admitted he was aware that the curriculum has given rise to various controversies, including an impression that the curriculum is introduced without proper evaluation of the existing curriculum, a lack of involvement of teachers and teachers’ associations, and inadequate familiarization.
Nuh said that the 2013 curriculum was actually the result of improvements to the existing curriculum. This included improvements to the overall concept, the deepening and expansion of material, and an adjustment to the workload.
