A mass of people joined in the Educational Revolution Alliance held a demonstration in front of the Ministry of Education and Culture’s office. They refused the planned implementation of Curriculum 2013 for academic year of 2013/2014. The mass consisted of Indonesian Teachers’ Allied Federation (FSGI), Indonesian Independent Teachers’ Federation (FGII), Jakarta’s Teachers Deliberation Forum (FMGJ), Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW), School Without Limit (STB), Indonesian Youth Struggling Front (FPPI), Street Children Solidarity Educational Coalition for Democracy (SALUD), Student Executive Board of Jakarta State University (BEM UNJ), Alliance of Students’ Parents with Concern of Education (APPI), and education practitioners.
Besides expressing their rejection to the curriculum, the alliance also urges the government to stop the National Exam (UN) and eliminate commercialization of education.
