In order to prevent irregularities in the conducting of the National Examinations, the Ministry of Education and Culture is working together with the National Police and state higher education institutes. The test papers will be kept in places that are double locked, with one key being held by the local police and one by the local state higher education institute. According to Teuku Ramli Zakaria, a member of the National Examinations Standards Committee, the places where the National Examination papers are kept will not be able to be opened by one key alone.

Meanwhile, as regards supervision by the country’s higher education institutes, monitoring would be much closer this year than last year. This is essential, he said, as students’ National Examination results constitute an important part of the university entrance process.
