The answer keys for the 2012 National Examinations constitute exempted information and so cannot be assessed by the public. The national examinations question papers and answer keys may only be made available to the public should there be changes in subject curricula. This was stated during an adjudication session of the Central Information Commission (KIP) on an information dispute between the Ministry of Education and Culture and Indonesia Corruption Watch.
Ibnu Hamad, the Head of the Ministry of Education and Culture’s Information and Public Relations Center, said that the test papers and keys had been subjected to a consequential evaluation to assess the impact if they were to be made available to the public. However, ICW, represented by Febri Hendri and Siti Juliantari Rachman objected to the ministry’s response.
