Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN, meaning the State Islamic Religion Institute) Wali Songo Semarang will open Joint Selection for Entry to State Universities (SBMPTN) on 18-19 June 2013. The Rector of IAIN Wali Songo, Prof Dr Muhibbin Noor, said that the reason for it is to provide students with more extensive access to continue their study in higher level of education.

Muhibbin said that the quota of SBMPTN opened by IAIN Wali Songo is about 750 seats. That number is outside other selection tracks, such as written SPMB PTAIN, achievement-based SPMB PTAIN, and independent exam.
