Hundreds of students from dozens of schools in Makassar, South Sulawesi, are likely unable to sit the national exam. It is because their schools have not been accredited. Those schools consist of junior high schools (SMP), senior high schools/madrasah aliyah (SMA/MA).

According to the Chairman of Accreditation Board for Schools/Madrasah of South Sulawesi Province, HM Adnan Siara, in accordance with the regulations of law, students of schools that have not been accredited may not sit the national exam.
