Around certified 138,000 private school teachers under the Ministry of Religious Affairs still have not received any decree on inpassing. In fact, this inpassing would make their rights equivalent to those of civil service teachers. Teachers from a number of regions in Java Island also paid a call on the Ministry of Education and Culture, demanding that teachers’ organizations should be provided with freedom to grow without discriminative rules. The General Chairman of PGSI, M Fatah Yasin, said that the inpassing process of private school teachers under the Ministry of Religious Affairs has not been completed until today.
