Febri Hendri, the Coordinator of the Public Service Monitoring Division of Indonesia Corruption Watch, said that the government’s decision on tender winners and the distributors of books for the 2013 curriculum was vulnerable to irregularities. Febri said that it would be best for publishers and distributors to be separated. In addition, tenders should be held in a transparent and routine fashion so as to facilitate supervision. He said that ICW had received information that the tender winners had already been decided, even though the tenders had not yet been held. However, Febri refused to give the names of the tender winners on the grounds that the accuracy of the information was still be verified.
