The government indicates that next year the national exam for primary school students, or which is known as the national standard school final exam, will be eliminated. It will be held for the last time this year.

The Minister of Education and Culture, Muh. Nuh, says that mandatory learning for primary school students is nine years. So, there is a thought that primary school and junior high school are integrated in a nine-year basic education.

According to Nuh, there is a thought that the national exam for primary school should be eliminated next year as it is already integrated into the basic education.
