A kick off on partnership was conducted during a seminar held on Thursday, between Gadjah Mada University’s vocational schools (SV UGM) diploma classes that equal to polytechnic and Japanese polytechnics of Akashi, Kitakyushu, Kagoshima, Kumamoto, and Sasebo polytechnics. The objective of the partnership as explained by SV UGM Deputy of Director for Students Affairs, Mr. Wikan Sakarinto, is to develop SV UGM students’ skills, improving it to the highest level to enable them to reach top managerial level. He further explained that the Japanese admitted that their development stemmed from development of their vocational schools that produces high quality professionals, something that is currently underway in Indonesian.
