The Association of Indonesian Language and Literature Teachers (APBSI) raised concerns about the future of Indonesian language teaching and learning under the 2013 curriculum. The association said the new curriculum positioned Indonesian language merely as a medium of instruction that it did not contain proper teaching materials for the subject, said APBSI chairman Saifur Rohman. He said many Indonesian language and literature teachers at junior and secondary schools in Java felt he 2013 curriculum public review had not provided them with the necessary information regarding the subject.
