Head of the Jakarta education agency, Taufik Yudi Mulyanto, said his office was still trying to persuade the 2013 State University National Entrance Selection’s (SNMPTN) organizing committee to remove state-owned senior high school SMAN 84 of the blacklist, a sanction which the committee imposed on several schools for manipulating student grades on the online registration and database. In the case of SMAN 84, one of the students has mistakenly input a wrong score on the database, therefore the blame should not be put upon all students, Taufik said, an argument which was supported by Retno Listyarti of the Indonesian Federation of Teachers Unions (FSGI).
