Corruption is still rampant schools, said Febri Hendri of the Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW). According to the ICW data, during 2005-2009 the police and prosecutors’ offices had handled 142 corruption cases related the way schools managed their education fund, teacher allowance and education facility procurement. Febri also raised his concerns about the lack of transparency on the part of schools and education offices regarding planning and budgeting information.
